Living Memories Interactive Installation

Creative Programming, Web-based interaction

Have you ever wondered what a memory would feel like if you could hold it in your hands, or see it visualized on a screen? Living Memories lets users type out a memory and see it come to life with a few clicks. Using an ml5 sentiment analysis model, the user input is mapped to seven possible visual outcomes that represent the memory. For each memory, the pattern, color, movement, typography, and motion changes according to the detected sentiment level. The visuals represent different emotions the user might feel when recalling these memories, from buoyant, to neutral, to chaotic or angry.
